Where is an octopus’s mouth? How do octopuses hide from other sea creatures? What do their babies look like? This book has the answers to these questions and many more, along with photographs, step-by-step illustrations, simple text and links to websites with video clips and activities.
I had no idea an octopus's mouth was tucked underneath like that until my kid pointed it out from the photos. The close-ups of the babies are adorable, and the hide-and-seek section had us both guessing. Perfect little science book for curious kids.
Bought this for my niece who's been asking how octopuses hide, and the photographs alone kept her flipping pages for an hour. The step-by-step sections about their babies were the surprise hit.
My 5 year old is obsessed with the octopus photos in here — she keeps flipping back to the page about how they hide. The step-by-step section is a nice touch for a kids' book, and the answers are simple enough that she can follow along.
