Everyone in the neighborhood loves Lyle the crocodile—except for a cranky neighbor and his nervous cat! Can lovable Lyle make everything right with his grumpy neighbors? A beloved classic read-aloud—now a major motion picture!
My four-year-old asks for this one every night now, and the cranky neighbor and his nervous cat get the biggest giggles. The hardcover has held up well to being dragged around, which I wasn't expecting from a picture book.
The hardcover feels sturdy enough to survive my toddler's nightly page-flipping, which is more than I can say for the paperback we wore out. Story's still charming, though the cranky neighbor bit drags a little before Lyle wins everyone over.
The rhymes make this a fun read-aloud, and my kids giggle at the grumpy neighbor's nervous cat every time. Only gripe is the hardcover feels a bit thin for the price, but it's held up fine so far.
