Trixie, Daddy, and Knuffle Bunny take a trip to the neighborhood Laundromat. But the exciting adventure takes a dramatic turn when Trixie realizes somebunny was left behind?
The hardcover feels sturdy enough to survive my two-year-old's not-so-gentle page turning, which is saying something. The story itself is genuinely funny for adults too, especially the made-up gibberish Trixie speaks before she can talk. That laundromat realization page gets me every time.
The part where Trixie goes silent and just says "Knuffle Bunny" gets my kid every time. The hardcover has held up through a lot of page-turning, and the Laundromat illustrations give us plenty to point at and talk about.
My toddler asks for this one constantly, mostly because she loves pointing out the laundry machines on every page. The real photos with cartoon drawings layered on top are a clever touch, though the ending feels a little abrupt for a bedtime read.
