Pirate-themed activities include counting gold coins, joining the dots to make a pirate ship and finding the way through a maze to reach the buried treasure.
My niece is obsessed with the maze that leads to the buried treasure, and since it wipes clean she's done it at least ten times without me printing anything. The gold coin counting pages are a nice quiet activity for restaurants too.
Bought this for my 5-year-old before a long flight and it saved us. The wipe-clean pages meant she could do the dot-to-dot ship and counting coins over and over without me worrying about marker everywhere.
The maze to the buried treasure kept my 6-year-old busy for a solid half hour, which is rare. I just wish the wipe-clean pages were a bit thicker since the marker bleeds through slightly. Still, the gold coin counting pages are great for practicing numbers.
